Success is Failure Turned Inside Out
Author: Arts Musings
I came across this recently and it reminded me that everything worth pursuing in life, is worth being important enough to push through the adversity that comes up during the ride to success.
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won if he’d stuck it out.
Don’t give up, though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are -
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit -
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.

Love and Adversity
Author: Dream Liver
As we all know, it is not a matter of if we will encounter adversity in our lives but when. Whether it be financial, the loss of a loved one, health or any other form we always find out where we sit within our various relationships. The reactions and the actions of those around us, especially the really important people such as our spouses or our other family members have a great impact on our ability to adapt to and overcome the troubles we are experiencing.
Nothing new here, but let’s apply the law of polarity to this for a moment. What about when the people around us that we adore and love are going through some very trying times? Are we being the best husband, wife, father or friend we can be? What if it was us going through that and the people around us were still demanding the love and friendship that we were getting when times were great?
My wife and I have been through absolute thick and thin together. She has been there for me, through medical, financial, family and the loss of loved ones and for that I give her a virtual hug as I right this post. Now as she reads this post and deals with her family and the loss of her wonderful and beautiful Mother, my wife can know that I am there for her.
We can both be proud of how we deal with the adversities we are challenged with, personally and as a couple. We both would give you the same answer when asked how we do it — our studies of Personal Development and using our mindset to overcome any adversity we are faced with.

Forgive Yourself
Author: Personal Growth Mentor
Now that you have accepted responsibility for your problems it is time to forgive yourself. We get so caught up in constantly beating ourselves up that this can truly stop any progress we are making.
If you know that you made a mistake which has created some unwanted adversity in your life, you have to forgive yourself before you can concentrate on making things better. You are only human, you are entitled to make mistakes, even big mistakes. These mistakes are not who you are, they are simply a wrong choice you made in the past.
If you wallow in the failures of yesterday, you will find yourself paralyzed with fear of making the same mistakes in the future. When you forgive yourself you free yourself to move into the possibilities of the future, instead of being a slave to the problems of the past.
Go ahead and look in the mirror right now and say I forgive you. Free yourself for the brighter possibilities of tomorrow.
Look on the Bright Side
Author: Personal Growth Mentor
Have your troubles got you down? Have you tried to look on the bright side? I know sometimes it is hard to find, but it is there. The Law of Polarity tells us that if something is difficult it is equally just as good. There is no good or bad, everything just is.
You must simply look for the opposite benefit of your adversity. Let’s say for example you are going through a separation of a challenging long term relationship, the benefit here may be that you are now free to find a new rewarding, loving, nurturing relationship.
Sometimes the benefit is not so clearly apparent. You may discover well after you have overcome the adversity that the benefit was how much you learned because of the experience.
The point here is that it all boils down to your perspective. How you choose to view your situation will determine whether it is going to be a good or a bad experience overall. I am not saying you won’t have challenges, but rather that you can choose to view those challenges as a horrible experience or an opportunity to learn and grow.
Everything just is, you decide whether you are going to view it as good or bad. Always look for the good in every situation.
Are You Burying Your Head in the Sand?
Author: Arts Musings
“When you know that you’re capable of dealing with whatever comes, you have the only security the world has to offer.”
~Harry Browne, Financial Advisor and Writer
In these difficult economic times, you may be worrying about what will happen. Will you lose your job - How will you make the mortgage payments - Do you have enough money to pay your bills - Will I ever get out of this hole I dug?
I think the news media’s coverage of the recession perpetuates the recession. People panic and stop spending. They focus on the recession so it starts to create a collective energy pattern of fear and doubt - an endless cycle.
Putting your focus on the negative will actually bring about more of the same - the Law of Attraction.
Resist the urge to bury your head in the sand and hope it will all go away. You’re given these lessons for a reason. If you don’t deal with them, they will keep coming back to you - in different forms and with greater intensity until you deal with it - until you learn the lesson.
There is no security except for the security you have within.
Here’s what I do and what we encourage our clients to focus on: choose to focus on the belief that you will always be taken care of. Focus on what you can control instead of what you can’t. Choose to focus on problem-solving and how to help yourself. You are capable of dealing with whatever comes your way. Dealing with it is the key - staying in ‘action’ mode is the key.
You can do this! Keep your eye on what you want for your life, deal with issues that arise, and never, never, never, never give up. You can overcome all adversity in your life.
It is Your Fault
Author: Personal Growth Mentor
What did you do wrong? That may be the first step in trying to overcome adversity in your life. It is so much easier to blame outside circumstances, situations, and other people for our troubles, after-all, we certainly wouldn’t have done this to ourselves.
The trouble with blaming everything else is that you did play a part in creating where you are right now. You are responsible for you past, your thoughts, your emotions and therefore the results in you life. Until you take responsibility you cannot begin to move past the adversity and fix your problems.
By giving away the blame, you are giving away the power over your own life. Until you start to take responsibility you will always be the victim of your results. You can free yourself by acknowledging your part in creating the circumstances in your life.
Now you can begin to focus on how to go about moving forward in a positive direction. After-all, you created this mess, so you can clean it up.
The Action in Law of Attraction
Author: Arts Musings
Anyone who told you that getting things in life comes from sitting around and visualizing it, is selling you a load of cow manure. It takes action. That’s where you come in. You have this big dream. You believe you’ll see it come true. Now you need to do something that will take you closer to the fulfillment of your dream. This doesn’t mean you have to know everything about getting what you want, just take some action. One small step leads to another and another.
Something magical happens when you take action. People, places and situations begin to appear that actually help you get what you want. That’s the law of attraction. As you take responsibility for your dreams, the Universe moves people and situations in place to help you achieve them faster. Your role is to be open to the possibilities and be aware and ready to act when your intuition speaks.
Life isn’t meant to be hard. Know what you want, get clear on why you want it, believe it’s possible and take action. That’s the way to win with the Law of Attraction.
Tug-of-War
Author: Arts Musings
You’re playing a tug of war game that you just can’t win. You tell the Universe what you want and initially you’re excited and believe you’ll get it. That starts the process of bringing you what you want. The next day, you’re not so confident so the Universe says, “Wait, hold that order.” The next day, you don’t believe you’ll get what you want and actually start thinking of the opposite of what you want! Guess what the Universe says? “We have a change order.”
How do you win this tug of war game with the Law of Attraction? Believe!
Never underestimate the power of belief. Remember the childhood rhyme “Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long, you’ll have good luck.” Did you find that you did have good luck all day? That’s the power of belief. When you set your intention on something, believe that you will get it. Believe with all your heart and soul, never waver, maintain your faith in yourself and the Universe to deliver to you what you want. Belief is the vehicle that brings you everything you dream about.
Celebrate Your Daily Success
Author: Personal Growth Mentor
Are you like me? I get up each day armed with my list of things I intend to accomplish that day. I have big goals for each day and I am laser beam focused on reaching each one of them. This is all well and good depending on how you view the results at the end of the day.
Until very recently, I would go back over my list at the end of the day and become disappointed with myself for all the things that I didn’t get done. This would lead to feelings of inadequacy and self doubt. The problem is that when you have big goals, many times you don’t reach them in the time allotted. It was time for a change in focus.
Now, I still have big daily goals, yet I focus on what I do accomplishment. At the end of the day, I go over my list and celebrate my wins. This leaves me feeling successful and accomplished. Anything that remains on the list, simply gets moved to the next day.
You may think that this would cause me to become laxidaisical as I have given myself an out. The contrary is actually true. It is very motivating for me to know that I will be celebrating my successes at the end of the day. The more success the bigger the celebration.
By simply changing my focus, I have changed the way I feel, and therefore changed my results.
