A Life Coach is Like a Sports Coach
Author: Dream Liver
Ever hear the expression in sports that the best defense is a great offense? All of the really good sports coaches understand, and so do Life Coaches. What it boils down to, is simply taking on the challenges, the issues, problems and concerns head on. It is simply then a case of ensuring that you are consistently living a win win life.
Expressing gratitude for what you have, for the loved ones in your life, for the warmth of the love and endearment you are experiencing on a daily basis are the goals, home runs and touchdowns of life. Once you develop the ability to challenge your adversity with wins you have a simple formula:
Adversity combined with action and the tools taught through your studies of Personal Development will always equal one of two things, if not both:
1. Success, or
2. Gratitude.
Living your life with a win win philosophy, regardless of the challenges, trial or tribulations will always empower you to create a win. Feel free to join us for a free tele-event where we will be sharing the philosophies of overcoming adversity and developing a successful future.
The Key to Your Success
Author: Arts Musings
For many, goal setting is a way of life. For many more others, it doesn’t even enter onto their radar. Regardless if this is because they haven’t learned the powerful impact goal setting can have on their lives, or they just couldn’t be bothered, we’re going to talk to the 3%-5% of people that DO set goals.
There are many tips, tools and strategies that you can use to be successful in reaching your goals. Many of those can be found right here. But there is one specific thing you can do that will ensure your belief in yourself while venturing into new and exciting territory.
Doubt and fear will rear their ugly heads on the road to success. By focusing on your strengths, you’re telling your subconscious mind that you’ve been successful before and now isn’t any different. You’re more likely to push through adversity and be successful when you constantly remind yourself of your past successes and areas of strength.
This works even when you’re doing something new. Many skills are transferable to different occupations, relationships and projects. You likely won’t have to dig too deep to recognize what your strengths are.
Success breeds success.
Know Where You are Going
Author: Personal Growth Mentor
When faced with adversity in your life, you may find that it causes you to change your focus. It may be difficult to keep your committments during your time of struggle. You may even find that you get sidetracked from your goals.
Sometimes events in your life that are difficult require extra attention at least temporarily, but that doesn’t mean you have to completely stop all progress that you are making in reaching your goals. A little action is better than no action. If you have to cut the time spent on goal achievement drastically for a short time, it is still better than giving up on your goals altogether.
Give yourself the time you need to get your life back on track. If you need a couple of days off for a personal development boost, take them. The important thing here is to keep focused on your goals as you work through your adversity. Know that you will be back on track in full swing as soon as you are able.
We have no way of knowing what life will bring our way. We do have the ability, though, to keep clear on where we are headed in spite of our current circumstances. If you want to be successful in reaching your goals, do not allow your troubles to continually change the course you are on.
The Adversity Within
Author: Arts Musings
Adversity comes in many forms - conflict at work, an unhappy relationship with your significant other, money issues (or lack of) to name a few. But what about the adversity within us - the relationship we have with ourselves.
We have about 70,000 thoughts per day. Many of those thoughts are conversations that we have with ourselves. The amazing thing is that many of those conversations are negative - that was stupid, why did I say that, I’m fat, why do I always do that, they don’t like me - you get the picture.
We beat ourselves up over the smallest perceived infraction and wonder why our lives aren’t working.
Successful people have learned to overcome the adversity in their lives, and that includes the inner conflict we’ve all experienced. There’s a small but profound difference between the successful and unsuccessful….
- Successful people use adversity as an opportunity to learn and grow
- Successful people use 3 Universal laws to turn adversity into victory
- Successful people cultivate a healthy relationship with the most important person in their lives
Everyone can be successful when they learn how to think, act and be. Come join us for a FREE Tele-Event where you will see first hand how the adversity in your life is just a stepping stone to the life of your dreams.
Success is Failure Turned Inside Out
Author: Arts Musings
I came across this recently and it reminded me that everything worth pursuing in life, is worth being important enough to push through the adversity that comes up during the ride to success.
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won if he’d stuck it out.
Don’t give up, though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are -
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit -
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.

Love and Adversity
Author: Dream Liver
As we all know, it is not a matter of if we will encounter adversity in our lives but when. Whether it be financial, the loss of a loved one, health or any other form we always find out where we sit within our various relationships. The reactions and the actions of those around us, especially the really important people such as our spouses or our other family members have a great impact on our ability to adapt to and overcome the troubles we are experiencing.
Nothing new here, but let’s apply the law of polarity to this for a moment. What about when the people around us that we adore and love are going through some very trying times? Are we being the best husband, wife, father or friend we can be? What if it was us going through that and the people around us were still demanding the love and friendship that we were getting when times were great?
My wife and I have been through absolute thick and thin together. She has been there for me, through medical, financial, family and the loss of loved ones and for that I give her a virtual hug as I right this post. Now as she reads this post and deals with her family and the loss of her wonderful and beautiful Mother, my wife can know that I am there for her.
We can both be proud of how we deal with the adversities we are challenged with, personally and as a couple. We both would give you the same answer when asked how we do it — our studies of Personal Development and using our mindset to overcome any adversity we are faced with.
When you click on the link above (mindset to overcome any adversity), you will be re directed to a registration page. From there you are able to register for a free tele-seminar that is dedicated to assisting people in developing their own mindset and overcoming their own adversity.

Forgive Yourself
Author: Personal Growth Mentor
Now that you have accepted responsibility for your problems it is time to forgive yourself. We get so caught up in constantly beating ourselves up that this can truly stop any progress we are making.
If you know that you made a mistake which has created some unwanted adversity in your life, you have to forgive yourself before you can concentrate on making things better. You are only human, you are entitled to make mistakes, even big mistakes. These mistakes are not who you are, they are simply a wrong choice you made in the past.
If you wallow in the failures of yesterday, you will find yourself paralyzed with fear of making the same mistakes in the future. When you forgive yourself you free yourself to move into the possibilities of the future, instead of being a slave to the problems of the past.
Go ahead and look in the mirror right now and say I forgive you. Free yourself for the brighter possibilities of tomorrow.
Look on the Bright Side
Author: Personal Growth Mentor
Have your troubles got you down? Have you tried to look on the bright side? I know sometimes it is hard to find, but it is there. The Law of Polarity tells us that if something is difficult it is equally just as good. There is no good or bad, everything just is.
You must simply look for the opposite benefit of your adversity. Let’s say for example you are going through a separation of a challenging long term relationship, the benefit here may be that you are now free to find a new rewarding, loving, nurturing relationship.
Sometimes the benefit is not so clearly apparent. You may discover well after you have overcome the adversity that the benefit was how much you learned because of the experience.
The point here is that it all boils down to your perspective. How you choose to view your situation will determine whether it is going to be a good or a bad experience overall. I am not saying you won’t have challenges, but rather that you can choose to view those challenges as a horrible experience or an opportunity to learn and grow.
Everything just is, you decide whether you are going to view it as good or bad. Always look for the good in every situation.
Are You Burying Your Head in the Sand?
Author: Arts Musings
“When you know that you’re capable of dealing with whatever comes, you have the only security the world has to offer.”
~Harry Browne, Financial Advisor and Writer
In these difficult economic times, you may be worrying about what will happen. Will you lose your job - How will you make the mortgage payments - Do you have enough money to pay your bills - Will I ever get out of this hole I dug?
I think the news media’s coverage of the recession perpetuates the recession. People panic and stop spending. They focus on the recession so it starts to create a collective energy pattern of fear and doubt - an endless cycle.
Putting your focus on the negative will actually bring about more of the same - the Law of Attraction.
Resist the urge to bury your head in the sand and hope it will all go away. You’re given these lessons for a reason. If you don’t deal with them, they will keep coming back to you - in different forms and with greater intensity until you deal with it - until you learn the lesson.
There is no security except for the security you have within.
Here’s what I do and what we encourage our clients to focus on: choose to focus on the belief that you will always be taken care of. Focus on what you can control instead of what you can’t. Choose to focus on problem-solving and how to help yourself. You are capable of dealing with whatever comes your way. Dealing with it is the key - staying in ‘action’ mode is the key.
You can do this! Keep your eye on what you want for your life, deal with issues that arise, and never, never, never, never give up. You can overcome all adversity in your life.
