“When you say “Yes” to something, you include something you do want in your experience. When you say “No” to something, you include something you don’t want in your experience.”

Those are the words of Jerry & Esther Hicks (authors of the Law of Attraction series of books).

 

For those that are students of the Law of Attraction, this is a basic principle….not always easy to live though…..

 

Focusing on what we DO want not only puts us in a better frame of mind (thinking and feeling about the exciting and fulfilling things we want in our lives) but most importantly, it puts us in that “vibrational” match to attract the people, places, situations and things that will make it come true. 

 

Alternately, when we focus on what we DON’T want, we of course also put ourselves in that same “vibrational” match of attracting the people, places, situations an things that will bring us more of what we want to avoid.

 

Pretty simple, right?  Simple yes, easy….well not so much.

 

This is a paradigm shift for many.  If there is one thing that we can focus on that will have the greatest impact on how our lives unfold, it would be this one pretty simple principle - focus on what you WANT. When you find yourself focusing (or dwelling) on all the garbage in your life, immediately focus on what you WANT.

 

 


All the good that comes into our lives is based on love (the positive) and all the bad that comes into our life is based on fear (the negative).  With that knowledge, how can we use it to attract everything we desire?  First, we must have at least a basic understanding of how the Universe works…

Quantum Physics has proven that our thoughts and feelings “vibrate” at a specific frequency.  Positive thoughts have a much higher and faster vibration, and negative thoughts a much lower vibration.  We attract more of what we’re thinking and feeling into our lives - whether positive or negative, whether conscious or unconscious.  This is a Universal Law.  Consciously putting ourselves into that higher vibration is the key to getting what we want in life.

Gratitude and Giving are 2 of the most powerful ways we can attract things into our lives.  This week of Giving Thanks, we’ve shared our views on the importance of making giving and gratitude a part of our lives.

 

With Thanksgiving come and gone, let’s all remember to be of giving hearts - give freely and without intention of return - give heartfelt thanks for the gifts in our lives and the gifts we wish to receive.

 

Continued practice WILL bring you more beautiful things into your life to appreciate and share.

Do you live in the past?  Do the mistakes of yesterday haunt your tomorrow?  We have all made mistakes, but we don’t have to relive them.  Leave them in the past where they belong.

 

We are very often our own worst enemy, always beating ourselves up.  The key is to forgive yourself for the mistakes that you have made.  They are not who you are, they are simply something that you did.  If you keep reliving them in your mind, the law of attraction will think you want to relive them in your reality.

 

reliving-the-past.jpgYou have to let them go and stop focusing on them, free yourself to be the person that you want to become.  Your past mistakes should be viewed as merely a learning experience, a way of guiding you to steer clear of repeating them.  Just because you have made the mistake in the past, it doesn’t mean that you are the person that always makes that mistake. 

 

Even if it is a mistake that you have made repeatedly in the past, it is time to break the cycle.  Decide who you want to be today and focus on becoming that person.  Leave the past where it belongs, in the past.

ab12717.jpgYou’re playing a tug of war game that you just can’t win.  You tell the Universe what you want and initially you’re excited and believe you’ll get it.  That starts the process of bringing you what you want.  The next day, you’re not so confident so the Universe says, “Wait, hold that order.”  The next day, you don’t believe you’ll get what you want and actually start thinking of the opposite of what you want!  Guess what the Universe says?  “We have a change order.”

How do you win this tug of war game with the Law of Attraction?   Believe!

Never underestimate the power of belief.  Remember the childhood rhyme “Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long, you’ll have good luck.”  Did you find that you did have good luck all day?  That’s the power of belief.  When you set your intention on something, believe that you will get it.  Believe with all your heart and soul, never waver, maintain your faith in yourself and the Universe to deliver to you what you want.  Belief is the vehicle that brings you everything you dream about.

pat-yourself-on-the-back.jpgDo you really give yourself the credit you deserve?  You have probably had some major success in your life, did you give each success the celebration that it was due? 

We tend to give so much more attention and emotion to our failures than to our much deserved successes.  Think back to when you were a child.  If you were playing quietly with your siblings, your parents probably just let you be, but if a fight broke out you got in big trouble.  The A’s on your report card may have gotten you a simple pat on the back, but the D’s meant you were scared to go home.

Most of us have brought this way of being into our adult life.  Our accomplishments get very little recognition, yet our failures haunt us as we replay them again and again in our minds.  If you spend too much time beating yourself up for the mistakes that you have made, you are putting it out to the universe that you are a failure.  The law of attraction will then respond and bring you more dissapointment and failure.

 It is imperative to your self esteem that you acknowledge your wins.  You should give just as much, if not more, energy and emotion to your successes than you do to your failures.  Make a list of your wins, the big and the small, you can refer to this list whenever you need a self esteem boost.  You will soon find that you are vibrating with an energy of success and the law of attraction will bring you more of the same.

82487027.jpgEverything you experience in your life, you have created.  Your thoughts and feelings are mirrored back to you and manifest into your current life and circumstances.   Some things you’ve created unconsciously and some consciously, but you’ve created them.  When you understand that you are the creator of your life, you can then take responsibility for it and stop blaming yourself or anyone else for your results.  This will set you free and light the path to deliberate creation - the Law of Attraction.

So how can you then turn your life into the one that you desire?  Stop thinking the negative thoughts that keep you stuck.  Here’s a simple solution:  plant good thoughts!  The more good thoughts you plant, the more negative ones get wiped out.  It gets easier and easier as you focus on what you want, rather than all the scenarios you can think of that you don’t want.

The world is your oyster.  You have the power to change your life and create it in your own vision.  Begin today!
