Prosperity Consciousness by definition is simply a State of Mind.  Most people when they hear the words prosperity consciousness think of being conscious of how much money they have access to and in the bank.  Prosperity should be measured as wealth is measured because they are essentially the same.  There are many many broke people that consider themselves very very prosperous and wealthy.  Money is simply energy or a symbol of what it takes to buy “things”.Since we all know that money is simply energy:  why is it that we, as a society, lower our goals and aspirations to meet our financial situation or the amount of energy we have to use to make our goals manifest?

When we are living our lives and we need energy to keep going we make use of a couple of things — food and sleep.  They are just tools to allow us to keep moving through the day.  Money is just the tool required to manifest our goals and aspirations.

Take a moment to reflect on your goals.

Are they big enough for you? or

Are they simply tailored to match your energy level?(bank account or credit limit)

If your goals do not seem big enough or if your long term goals don’t scare the heck out of you it may be worth your while to consider some new possibilities — what is possible?

Here is an excercise that may help you:  Take out a pad and pen and on the top of the paper write “100 things I want to do before I die” (a bucket list if you will)  Take your time with this and consider them as you do some new goal setting.  You can raise your financial situation to meet any goals and aspirations you can write.

Soaring Eagle

If you’ve ever watched an eagle soaring overhead for any length of time, you’ll eventually see crows circling and tormenting the eagle.  I’ve often wondered Why?  This morning as I sat enjoying a warm breakfast with my favorite man, looking out over our little slice of paradise (green fields, cascading ponds, flowers blossoming) we saw an eagle overhead.  It had been a few months since we had seen one here.  Sure enough, the crows soon followed.  I watched as the eagle majestically landed on one of the highest branches in the tree, 1/4 mile away.  With binoculars in hand, I witnessed that elegant creature being dove at like a kamikaze pilot and littered with endless “caw caws”.   She sat there as regale as the queen she is.

It suddenly occurred to me why I’m drawn to the beauty and harshness of the eagle.  She sat there focused on her goal, overlooking her territory of prey, undaunted by the onslaught of distractions and obstacles bombarding her.  She knew her purpose, and with conviction born of generations of instinct instilled in her DNA, she kept her keen eyes on her goal - the prey she would soon find and capture to feed her and her eaglet.  She didn’t think, when will I find it, it’s not showing up, what will I do if it doesn’t, will I starve, will my baby starve, what will the other eagles think.  Her clarity of purpose was clearly the cause of her success as she swooped down to collect her prize.

We all have distractions and obstacles in our lives.  Being absolutely clear on what we want, staying focused on that purpose will undoubtedly deliver us to where we want to be.  No exceptions - it happens every time.
